About the position

As our Senior Director of Information Technology, you will drive our technological strategy, ensuring seamless and efficient operations with a strong focus on infrastructure, including servers, hardware, and security. You will also oversee development activities such as report creation, master data management, ERP systems, and some application development. This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and will work in a hybrid collaborative small team environment. In this role, you will champion technology by leading and taking key responsibility for all organizational hardware and software, emphasizing infrastructure. You will oversee the IT help desk, ensuring high levels of support and responsiveness. You will set policies for purchasing and maintaining technology, including Cloud and On-Prem solutions, while also managing risk and performance analysis. Collaborative safeguarding will be essential as you maintain and recover business systems in collaboration with colleagues, creating policies, procedures, data security standards, and schedules. You will ensure system integrity by managing backups, maintenance, server upgrades, and patching, while providing high-end firewalling, intrusion inspection, and malware protection. Financial stewardship will be a key aspect of your role, as you will create and manage the IT annual budget and lead strategy discussions that require technology support. You will develop and oversee a comprehensive information systems plan aligned with growth targets, determining technology business requirements with leadership and advising on evaluation, ROI, selection, implementation, and maintenance of information systems. Your responsibilities will also include supporting ERP implementation, identifying and proposing new business process enhancements, and enabling company growth and scalability through systems thinking. You will standardize work for users and provide vision to the development team to solve business issues effectively. Team development will be crucial, as you will foster a customer service-oriented technology team, coaching them to grow beyond individual skill sets and using metrics to identify and prioritize improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and take key responsibility for all organizational hardware and software, emphasizing infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business Analytics, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience managing or directing an information systems environment that includes ERP.
  • Advanced understanding of ERP system utilization within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Proven track record in leading strategic initiatives and delivering outstanding business results.
  • Thorough knowledge of industry trends, database engines, operating systems, servers, and telecommunications hardware and software, with a strong focus on infrastructure.
  • Understanding of paperless and mobile applications for a manufacturing shop floor environment.
  • Ability to manage time and work on multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Experience in negotiating vendor contracts and managing vendor relationships.
  • Highly motivated towards solving business needs and improving processes.
  • Ability to understand the financial impact of business processes.
