The primary goal is to address the needs of families in the CUA service area, which includes the 24th and 26th Police Districts and the Logan and Olney police districts. The coordinator will utilize Parent Cafés and community events as platforms to engage families, encouraging them to participate actively in their community and access necessary support services. This role involves establishing positive working relationships with Child Welfare providers and community service organizations, ensuring that families receive comprehensive support tailored to their unique circumstances. The Strengthening Families Coordinator will also facilitate workshops and orientations aimed at educating families about available resources and services, thereby enhancing their social and emotional capacities. In addition to direct engagement with families, the coordinator will be responsible for documenting activities, conducting outreach, and assisting in community mapping strategies.
