About the position

First Choice Homecare Agency is seeking dedicated and compassionate caregivers to provide exceptional in-home care services to clients. The role involves assisting clients with personal care tasks, engaging in recreational activities, and ensuring a positive and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide companion care services to clients, engaging in conversations and recreational activities to promote a positive environment.
• Assist with personal care tasks including bathing, grooming, dressing, and medication reminders while maintaining the client's dignity and privacy.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks such as tidying up, laundry, meal preparation, and running light errands to ensure a clean and organized living space for the client.
• Accompany clients to medical appointments and assist with any necessary paperwork or communication.
• Observe and report any changes in the client's condition, behavior, or needs to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of services provided and any relevant observations.

Requirements

• Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Personal Care Assistant (PCA).
• Previous experience in providing home care services, companion care, or personal care is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with clients and their families.
• Ability to adapt to different schedules and work independently.
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for clients.
• Reliable transportation to travel to clients' homes and accompany them on errands and medical visits.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
