Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide dietary services appropriate to the needs of residents.
• Exhibits leadership and personal accountability for performance to ensure quality food service.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation in the work area, including operating the dish machine and washing kitchen items.
• Restocks shelves, counters, and storage areas with food service equipment.
• Adheres to unit standards of dress and attends scheduled meetings and mandatory training.
• Displays service excellence by practicing the organization's mission, vision, and values to promote resident satisfaction.
• Complies with organizational policies and procedures to ensure quality job performance and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 16 years old.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and speak in sentences.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with occasional or no variables.
• Basic math skills including addition and subtraction of two-digit numbers.
• Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served.

Nice-to-haves

• High school diploma or equivalent training or up to one year of related experience or training.
