About The Position

The Culinary Specialist at Mukwonago Hospital is responsible for food preparation and cooking for patients, guests, and catered events, ensuring high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and safety. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in culinary arts or food services required
  • ServSafe Certified at time of hire or within 180 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and safety throughout all kitchen areas at all times.
  • Prepare and cook patient food following prescribed therapeutic diets.
  • Prepare and cook food products for retail outlets, catered events, and Meals on Wheels/Caring Place programs according to provided recipes and Food Service Policies and Procedures.
  • Maintain food temperature logs for all hot and cold food items in accordance with HACCP, The Joint Commission, County, State, and ServSafe guidelines.
  • Operate cash register as assigned.
  • Demonstrate basic culinary fundamentals including emulsified vinaigrette, béchamel sauce, and proper knife skills.
