About the position

The CUNY School of Law Legal Summer 2025 Internship at Verizon is designed for first-year law students to gain practical experience in an in-house legal environment. Interns will work closely with experienced attorneys, contributing to meaningful projects across various legal practice areas. The program emphasizes professional growth through learning experiences, networking opportunities, and mentorship, ultimately preparing interns for future careers in law.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to meaningful projects in the in-house legal department.
• Participate in executive sessions with legal and business leaders.
• Attend legal training workshops and practice area meetings.
• Collaborate with partner law firms on various assignments.
• Engage in networking opportunities with V Teamers and mentors.

Requirements

• Current enrollment at the CUNY School of Law as a first-year student in a full-time Juris Doctor law degree program.
• Ability to complete a 10-week internship during the summer of 2025.
• A Bachelor's degree.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.
• Willingness to work virtually and in-person, and to attend company events.
• Willingness to work in Basking Ridge, NJ.

Nice-to-haves

• Strong verbal, written, communication, and presentation skills.
