Assisting customers in locating merchandise and making purchasing decisions will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will also process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems while adhering to all company policies. Problem resolution is another critical aspect of your role. You will address customer complaints and issues professionally and empathetically, working to find suitable solutions to ensure customer satisfaction. Collaborating with other team members or managers to resolve complex issues will also be part of your duties. Additionally, you will develop a comprehensive understanding of the products or services offered, staying up-to-date with product features, specifications, and benefits to provide recommendations and insights to customers based on their preferences and needs. You will have the opportunity to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities, using persuasive techniques to encourage additional purchases without being pushy. Building rapport with customers to foster long-term relationships will be essential, as will collaborating with colleagues and supervisors to achieve store goals and targets. Cash handling is also a responsibility, where you will handle cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment accurately, balancing cash registers and ensuring all transactions are accounted for.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and basic math skills for handling transactions.
