About the position

The Door Guard position at Curacao Chula Vista is responsible for ensuring security and preventing theft at store entrances. This role involves enforcing company policies, providing customer service, and reporting suspicious activities to management. The Door Guard plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe shopping environment while assisting customers and store management during various situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service while verifying customer and employee supply receipts at the door.
• Enforce entrance and exit policies.
• Report suspicious activity (internal or external) to Loss Prevention management.
• Assist store management during opening and closing procedures.
• Assist store management during emergency situations.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have a guard card.
• Minimum 6 months of security experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and equipment weighing up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to walk, stand, stoop, crawl, kneel, climb, and push/pull objects.
• Knowledge of the Power of Arrest and detainment required.
• Valid government issued ID for police reports and court purposes.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills (Excel, Word).
• Ability to speak in public.
• Teamwork oriented.
