About the position

The Door Guard position at Curacao Tucson is a critical role focused on maintaining security and preventing theft at all designated store entrances. This position is responsible for enforcing company policies and ensuring a safe shopping environment for customers and employees alike. The Door Guard will utilize various equipment and techniques to monitor activities at the entrances, assist customers with basic inquiries, and report any suspicious activities to Loss Prevention management. The role requires a physical presence at the entrances to enforce policies and provide customer service when necessary. The Door Guard will also assist store management during opening and closing procedures, as well as during emergency situations, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed. This position is essential in creating a welcoming atmosphere while also safeguarding the store's assets and maintaining the integrity of the shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service while verifying customer and employee supply receipts at the door.
• Enforce entrance and exit policies.
• Report suspicious activity (internal or external) to Loss Prevention management.
• Assist store management during opening and closing procedures.
• Assist store management during emergency situations.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have a guard card.
• Minimum 6 months of security experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and equipment weighing up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to walk, stand, stoop, crawl, kneel, climb, and push/pull objects.
• Knowledge of the Power of Arrest and detainment required.
• Valid government issued ID for police reports and court purposes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills including Excel and Word.
• Ability to speak in public.
• Teamwork oriented with a dynamic and enthusiastic attitude.
• Open to learning and accepting changes in a fast-paced environment.
