About the position

The Curbside Manager at Brookshire Grocery Company is responsible for managing and coordinating the assembly of customer orders received online through the Curbside service. This role focuses on achieving department sales and profits while providing leadership to department personnel and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and service. The manager oversees the fulfillment process, maintains product quality standards, and manages inventory to ensure satisfactory in-stock levels.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the assembly of customer orders received online through Curbside.
  • Oversee achievement of department sales and profits using acceptable business practices.
  • Provide leadership to department personnel, including interviewing, hiring, training, and developing partners.
  • Ensure highest level of customer satisfaction through thorough communications and proper filling of orders.
  • Identify item out-of-stocks, recommend substitutions, and promote advertised specials.
  • Maintain relevant job documentation related to Curbside operating procedures.
  • Review historical data to predict future sales from ads and promotions.
  • Manage inventory using item management processes to ensure satisfactory in-stock levels.
  • Review profit and loss, sales, shrink, and labor data; provide summaries to upper management regarding related issues.
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary working and shopping environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Two or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Advanced knowledge of curbside department operations.
  • Intermediate knowledge of scheduling software systems and cash register operations.
  • Intermediate knowledge of food quality standards and temperature/refrigeration standards for selected products.
  • Basic mathematical and counting skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form with customers and partners.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
