About the position

The Curriculum & Content Writer at Goalsetter is responsible for designing, developing, and writing engaging digital personal finance curriculum for students in grades 6-12. This role focuses on creating interactive lessons and activities that align with national and state standards, ensuring the curriculum is relevant and applicable to students' lives. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to continuously improve the curriculum based on feedback and industry trends.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and write engaging digital personal finance curriculum for grades 6-12, aligned with national and state standards.
  • Create, revise and review interactive lessons, activities, assessments, and projects that cater to diverse learning styles and promote critical thinking.
  • Incorporate real-world examples, case studies, and simulations to make the curriculum relevant and applicable to students' lives.
  • Utilize technology tools and platforms to create dynamic content and lessons.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, teachers, and instructional designers to ensure the curriculum is accurate, comprehensive, and effective.
  • Continuously update and improve the curriculum based on feedback, research, and industry trends.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in education, finance, business and/or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience teaching personal finance, economics and/or related subjects in grades 6-12.
  • Proven experience in curriculum development and instructional design.
  • Strong understanding of personal finance concepts and best practices.
  • Familiarity with Project-Based Learning.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology tools and platforms to build out learning activities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
