About the position

The Curriculum Coordinator at Kiddie Academy is responsible for providing instructional support, mentoring, and coaching to teachers to enhance the quality of early care and instructional programs. This role requires a commitment to quality education and involves ensuring that the proprietary Life Essentials curriculum is implemented effectively. The coordinator will work closely with academy staff to build relationships with families, increase retention, and manage accreditation processes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite instructional support, mentoring, and coaching to teachers.
  • Ensure the proprietary Life Essentials curriculum is presented as intended.
  • Build relationships with families and increase retention.
  • Train, motivate, and assess staff; assist in the assignment and direction of staff.
  • Plan academy activities and participate in team meetings, training sessions, and community activities.
  • Perform regular observations of classrooms to provide feedback and direction.
  • Manage the accreditation process and maintain standards and procedures.
  • Ensure quality control programs meet all State and Kiddie Academy requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years' experience as an Early Childhood Educator.
  • Proven leadership success in creating a learning environment for children.
  • Experience in professional development for teaching staff.
  • Ability to meet all Texas State requirements for directing an early childhood center.
  • Experience taking a center through national accreditation.
  • Must have or be pursuing an Associate of Arts Degree or equivalent in Early Childhood Education.
