About the position
As the Curriculum Writer Lead at Primrose School Franchising Company, you will play a crucial role in developing and authoring lesson content that aligns with the Balanced Learning® approach. This position focuses on creating engaging and developmentally-appropriate educational materials for early childhood education, ensuring that the curriculum meets high standards of quality and effectiveness. You will collaborate with other educational professionals to enhance the curriculum and support the training of staff related to curriculum updates.
Responsibilities
- Author developmentally-appropriate lesson content in alignment with the Balanced Learning® approach.
- Research comparable learning standards and calibrate the Balanced Learning scope and sequence.
- Develop effective learning progressions and supplemental teaching materials.
- Implement updates directed by the Director of Curriculum and other subject matter experts.
- Review curriculum for alignment, completeness, and quality.
- Collaborate with Curriculum Writers and Assessment Specialists to identify gaps and make revisions.
- Support the development of training and communications related to curriculum updates.
- Create instructional content using Primrose's established voice, tone, and pedagogical philosophy.
Requirements
- Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
- 5+ years' experience developing and/or implementing early childhood curriculum.
- Experience authoring standards-aligned curricula and identifying accompanying materials.
- Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work with new technologies and systems.
