About the position

The Custodial Account Manager is responsible for managing and supervising the environmental services staff at an event center with multiple buildings. This role involves providing leadership, ensuring quality standards, maintaining safety guidelines, and meeting customer service expectations. The manager coordinates event support and oversees project work, while also maintaining records and ensuring equipment is in working order. The position requires effective communication with clients and staff, as well as training and quality control of the team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise environmental services staff at the event center.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to meet quality standards and customer service expectations.
  • Coordinate and ensure timely completion of event support and project work.
  • Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment.
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained and in working order.
  • Monitor inventory levels of janitorial supplies and take periodic inventories.
  • Train new employees and recommend dismissals as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with management and staff regarding directives and performance.
  • Conduct quality control assessments of work performed by staff.
  • Promote a professional image of the department and its services.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Two years of experience in environmental services or personnel supervision desired.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.
  • Ability to understand and complete all required training.
  • Punctuality and reliability in attendance.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Knowledge of infection control procedures and safe handling of chemicals.
  • Ability to work all shifts as needed.
  • Knowledge of environmental services and floor care program requirements.
  • Ability to maintain records and complete reports as required.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a school environment or similar setting.
  • Skills in public relations and diffusing situations.
  • Ability to interact positively with residents and clients.
