About the position
As a Custodial Services worker at Aramark, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and safety across our operations and locations. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all areas are kept clean and orderly, which is essential for the health and satisfaction of our customers. This position is not just about cleaning; it is about taking pride in your work and contributing to a positive environment for both guests and coworkers. You will be expected to adhere to established procedures that align with OSHA, state, local, and federal regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for everyone involved. Your daily tasks will include accurately maintaining and cleaning housekeeping equipment, following procedures for the storage and disposal of trash, and ensuring that all assigned areas meet Aramark and client standards. You will also be responsible for reporting any maintenance concerns through work order requests and securing the facility by ensuring that the building is locked and unlocked as required. This role may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing, and may require the use of uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities
- Adheres to established procedures to provide a safe working environment including aligning with OSHA, state/local, federal, and Aramark regulations
- Maintains a clean and orderly environment to project the safety and health of others
- Accurately maintains and cleans housekeeping equipment
- Cleans assigned areas to Aramark and client standards and requirements
- Follows procedures for storage and disposal of trash and transports it to designated areas
- Reports maintenance concerns via work order requests to appropriate personnel
- Secures the facility, ensuring building is locked/unlocked as required
- Ensures security of company assets
Requirements
- Previous custodial experience preferred
- Able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks and exposure to hazardous chemicals
- Maintains friendly, efficient, positive guest service demeanor towards guests, clients and co-workers
- Adaptable to guests' needs
