Custodian 2 (Part-Time) - Draper UT Temple

About the position

The Custodian 2 position at the Draper UT Temple is a part-time role focused on maintaining cleanliness and order in assigned areas. The role involves performing various cleaning tasks, operating mechanized cleaning equipment, and ensuring a safe and sanitized environment. The custodian may also assist with grounds maintenance, special events, and other manual labor duties as needed. Responsibilities

• Clean offices, restrooms, public areas, and fixtures as instructed.
• Operate mechanized cleaning equipment such as vacuums, polishers, and power washers.
• Perform window and building exterior cleaning.
• Sanitize areas, furnishings, or fixtures as instructed.
• Wet or damp mop floors and dust or polish furnishings.
• Dispose of trash, waste, and other materials.
• Perform emergency cleanups including floods and spills.
• Restock supplies and move furniture, supplies, and equipment.
• Report safety or security issues and needed repairs.
• Attend meetings and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Ability to understand basic instructions and complete basic tasks.
• Ability to independently lift and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work from ladders, scaffolds, and mechanical lifts.
• Ability to work with commercial-grade cleaners and chemicals.
• Must have a positive attitude and work well in a team.

Nice-to-haves

• Working knowledge of subject matter; typically two years related work experience preferred.
• Experience with project work or executive cleaning.
• Valid driver's license may be required.
