About The Position
Tidewater Community College seeks applications for part-time Custodian positions to fill 2 positions at the Norfolk Campus for the evening shift, 6:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. with rotating Saturdays. This position will provide a full range of custodial/housekeeping services for college facilities to include, but not limited to, trash removal, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, sweeping, floor stripping and waxing, carpet cleaning, window cleaning, black/white-board cleaning, etc. Provide room set-up/take-down assistance and light bulb replacement as assigned. Perform other cleaning tasks as assigned. Maintain and demonstrate good attendance habits. This position, designated as an essential position, must be able to report to work and fulfill responsibilities of the position in the event of college/campus closure due to weather or emergent conditions. Must be able to report to work during inclement weather and assist in snow removal from entries and walkways and application of snow-melt when required.
