Under supervision of the Custodian Supervisor I, the Custodian I is responsible for the daily cleaning of assigned building, office and/or common areas by applying sustainable work practices in the operation and maintenance of all building systems and equipment in accordance with Department of General Services (DGS) and Facilities Management Division (FMD) policies, procedures, and guidelines and the Excellence in Public Buildings Initiative. This position is Limited Term (12 months); it may become permanent, be extended, or be cancelled at any time.
Responsibilities
- Daily cleaning of assigned buildings, offices, and common areas.
- Applying sustainable work practices in the operation and maintenance of building systems and equipment.
- Adhering to DGS and FMD policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Requirements
- Must have completed the State Examination/Employment Application STD Form 678.
- Background Investigation clearance required prior to hiring.
- Medical Clearance required prior to hiring.
