About the position
The Custodian position at Villanova University involves performing general cleaning duties within dormitories, offices, and public facilities. This role is essential for maintaining a clean and safe environment for students, faculty, and staff, particularly during the night shift.
Responsibilities
- Picks up and disposes of trash, including proper handling of recyclable materials.
- Operates and maintains automated and powered equipment such as buffers and carpet cleaning equipment.
- Cleans walls and scrubs, strips, seals, and finishes floors.
- Removes snow and ice and cleans debris around entrances and fire exits.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to follow both written and oral directions.
- Ability to interact positively with customers, students, faculty, administration, co-workers, and supervisors.
- Must be able to climb ladders, bend, reach, and lift up to 60 lbs.
- 1 to 3 years of experience preferred.
Benefits
