About the position

The Custodian is responsible for the overall cleanliness and sanitation of the branch and outdoor areas. This includes providing general custodial care in various areas such as restrooms, locker rooms, offices, program areas, floors, windows, and surfaces. The custodian will also be responsible for the disposal of garbage and keeping the surrounding outdoor area clean, including the parking lot and entrance. Additional responsibilities include assisting in snow removal and salting sidewalks and parking lots as needed, completing a cleaning checklist, and ensuring regular and timely attendance to the respective schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide general custodial care, including but not limited to restrooms, locker rooms, offices, program areas, floors, windows, and surfaces.
• Dispose of garbage appropriately.
• Keep surrounding outdoor areas clean, including the parking lot and entrance.
• Assist in snow removal and salting sidewalks and parking lots as needed.
• Complete cleaning checklist and all tasks as assigned each shift.
• Maintain regular and timely attendance to respective schedule.

Requirements

• Previous experience with cleaning preferred.
• Ability to work independently and hold self accountable.
• Ability to partner with co-workers to provide quality services.
• Must have the ability to lift 50-75 pounds.
• Able to work with cleaning equipment, chemical compounds, solvents, cleaners, and solutions in dry, liquid, spray, and aerosol forms.
