About the position
The Custodian is responsible for the overall cleanliness and sanitation of the branch and outdoor areas. This includes providing general custodial care, maintaining restrooms, locker rooms, offices, program areas, floors, windows, surfaces, and disposal of garbage. The role also involves keeping the surrounding outdoor area clean, assisting in snow removal, and salting sidewalks and parking lots as needed. Regular and timely attendance to the respective schedule is required.
Responsibilities
- Provide general custodial care, including but not limited to restrooms, locker rooms, offices, program areas, floors, windows, and surfaces.
- Dispose of garbage.
- Keep surrounding outdoor area clean, including parking lot and entrance.
- Assist in snow removal and salting sidewalks and parking lots as needed.
- Complete cleaning checklist and all tasks as assigned each shift.
- Maintain regular and timely attendance to respective schedule.
Requirements
- Previous experience with cleaning preferred.
- Ability to work independently and hold self accountable.
- Ability to partner with co-workers to provide quality services.
- Must have the ability to lift 50-75 pounds.
- Able to work with cleaning equipment, chemical compounds, solvents, cleaners, and solutions in dry, liquid, spray, and aerosol forms.
