About The Position

The Custodian Supervisor A position at LSU Health New Orleans involves supervising and assisting custodial staff in maintaining cleanliness and sanitary conditions in the School of Dentistry buildings. Requirements

• Two years of experience in custodial, housekeeping, groundskeeping, or food service work.
• Knowledge of general institutional cleaning and disinfecting procedures.
• Knowledge of clinical cleaning and disinfecting procedures.
• Knowledge of the operation and use of commercial-grade housekeeping equipment.
• Skill in performing disinfecting procedures.
• Skill in applying supervisory principles and practices.
• Ability to operate and maneuver high speed buffers, scrubbers, and other assigned floor care equipment.
• Ability to requisition, distribute, and monitor use of supplies and materials.
• Ability to supervise people and determine work priorities.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Supervise and assist with the evening cleaning of the School of Dentistry patient clinics.
• Conduct inspections of respective areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with standards.
• Manage work orders and special set-up requests for events.
• Provide manpower during events and oversee clean-up after events.
• Handle personnel matters including hiring, processing timesheets, and conducting new employee evaluations.
• Maintain inventory of building supplies.

Benefits

• Starting rate of $14.03 per hour with additional $1 Longevity and $1 Shift Differential Pay for hours worked.
