About the position
The Custodian Supervisor is responsible for overseeing cleaning crews in an industrial and commercial setting. This role involves hands-on supervision, ensuring the performance of cleaning staff, managing supplies and inventory, and maintaining vehicles. The supervisor must ensure compliance with safety regulations and communicate effectively with the office regarding staffing and daily work scope.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the performance of each cleaning crew member.
- Order supplies and manage inventory.
- Maintain vehicles and report any issues.
- Arrange work schedules with office approval.
- Ensure the safety of personnel and equipment.
- Comply with specifications and report any misconduct.
- Communicate staffing attendance and daily scope of work to the office with documentation.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- 3 years of experience in supervision and detail cleaning.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to lift over 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as stooping, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing.
