About the position

The City of Winchester is seeking a Custodian to join the Public Services Facilities Maintenance Division. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, with opportunities for career advancement based on experience. There are three levels of custodial positions available, each with specific requirements and salary ranges.

Responsibilities

• Dusts and or polishes desks, chairs, tables, shelves and other furniture or equipment
• Washes windows, walls, woodwork and Venetian blinds
• Vacuums, sweeps and mops floors
• Gathers and disposes of refuse
• Cleans and supplies restrooms
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Completion of the ninth grade
• Some building cleaning experience
• Valid driver's license
• For Custodian II: Three years related experience in a custodial/office related cleaning field
• For Custodian III: Five years related experience in a custodial/office related cleaning field
