About the position

The role is a leadership position within the AECG ASIC Engineering Team at AMD, focusing on managing and driving execution activities of cross-disciplinary engineering functions to develop ASIC solutions. The candidate will be responsible for program management of engineering and business efforts, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and satisfaction throughout the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Plan and drive cross-functional planning and execution of various engineering functions.
• Create resource and budget plans.
• Collaborate with business development teams and senior executives on program business case development.
• Drive AMD product solution deliverables and alignment with customer requirements.
• Engage with leadership to document program scope, establish integrated schedules, and manage program progress and risk.
• Represent the AECG ASIC Engineering organization in corporate and executive planning forums.
• Ensure compliance to customer gate checklists and contract milestone attainment with the business development team.
• Coordinate activities of geographically distributed technical teams.

Requirements

• Familiarity with silicon product development and related software ecosystem.
• Demonstrated ability to grasp new technical concepts quickly.
• Good understanding of project finances for semiconductor projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to influence across multiple internal functional organizations.
• Strong analytical, project planning, and management skills.
• Proven ability to deliver large cross-functional strategic initiatives.
• Business savvy with the ability to make intelligent technical vs business trade-off recommendations.
• Experience in a core team leadership role at a semiconductor company.
