Responsibilities

  • Manage the welding department and oversee daily operations.
  • Delegate tasks to team members and ensure efficient workflow.
  • Maintain accurate records of welding activities and materials used.
  • Communicate effectively between department heads to coordinate projects.
  • Perform MIG and TIG welding as required.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and engineering diagrams.
  • Lay out, cut, fit, measure, and weld metals to create desired shapes or objects.
  • Inspect and test welds and equipment for durability and compliance with standards.
  • Examine equipment to determine if repairs or new equipment are needed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering diagrams.
  • Strong skills in metal fabrication including layout, cutting, fitting, measuring, and welding.
  • Experience in managing a team and delegating tasks effectively.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
