About the position

The Customer Account Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for International Paper's customers, ensuring a world-class customer experience. This role involves managing customer orders, coordinating with various departments, and resolving issues to meet customer expectations and business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring a world-class customer experience.
  • Convert customer purchase orders to manufacturing production orders.
  • Order raw materials and tooling to support production.
  • Communicate with internal and external customers regarding order status, estimates, and changes.
  • Monitor and manage customer inventory levels.
  • Investigate and resolve order discrepancies and customer quality complaints.
  • Establish strong relationships with operations, shipping, and maintenance teams.
  • Demonstrate understanding of plant-specific manufacturing capabilities.
  • Coordinate with design, sales, pricing, and operations departments for new customer items.
  • Make daily decisions to maximize customer satisfaction and plant capacity.
  • Solve problems with technical and business acumen.
  • Establish and manage correct order unitization.
  • Understand International Paper's pricing models and coordinate warehoused items.
  • Assess and report possible obsolescence concerns of aged inventory.
  • Participate in plant's NPI initiatives related to inventory and operational efficiencies.
  • Provide data reporting of orders, sales, and inventory to management and customers.
  • Create and manage customer-specific reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate efforts of internal and external vendors for tooling and artwork approval.
  • Demonstrate exceptional administrative, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Report noteworthy customer concerns or trends to management.
  • Participate in production meetings to track orders from receipt to delivery.
  • Research and resolve customer order discrepancies and ensure accurate pricing.
  • Work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Provide forecasts based on customer input and historical trends.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on technical specifications.

Requirements

  • 3 years of industry experience with a high school diploma/GED or an undergraduate degree.
  • Ability to perform basic math functions such as working with fractions and percentages.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel and Word.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong customer focus and decision-making skills.
  • Attention to detail and integrity.
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task effectively.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and composure.
