About the position

The Customer Account Manager - Inside Sales at Intermax Networks is responsible for nurturing relationships with existing customers and driving upsell and cross-sell opportunities. This role involves managing a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring satisfaction with current services, and identifying additional solutions to enhance customer retention and revenue growth. The position requires strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused approach to support business growth and success.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with current customers to ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention.
  • Serve as the go-to resource for account questions, escalations, and support issues, ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Proactively check in with customers to ensure they are maximizing the value of their services and address any challenges they may face.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional products and services that align with the customer's evolving business needs.
  • Work closely with customers to understand their goals, challenges, and upcoming projects to provide tailored solutions.
  • Create customized proposals and present these solutions to customers in a compelling way that demonstrates value and ROI.
  • Monitor customer account health and usage, taking proactive steps to mitigate churn and maximize account growth.
  • Develop and implement strategies for increasing customer engagement, satisfaction, and loyalty.
  • Assist in contract renewals and negotiations to ensure long-term partnerships and recurring revenue.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales, technical support, and customer service teams to ensure a seamless experience for customers.
  • Keep accurate records of account activities, including customer interactions, sales opportunities, and key updates, in the CRM system.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to management on customer engagement, revenue performance, and potential opportunities.

Requirements

  • 1-4 years of experience in inside sales, account management, or customer service, ideally in the telecom, technology, or IT services industry.
  • Proven track record of managing customer relationships and driving sales growth within an existing customer base.
  • Experience with upselling, cross-selling, or account expansion in a B2B environment is highly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers at all levels.
  • Excellent listening, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
  • Proficient in using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Customer-focused, with the ability to anticipate customer needs and provide exceptional service.
