About the position

The Customer Account Manager is responsible for managing customer accounts and ensuring the successful production, scheduling, shipping, and invoicing of shipments to fulfill sales contracts. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of logistics and supply chain management, along with a commitment to regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain constant and regular contact with assigned customer accounts to coordinate sales contracts and shipments.
  • Acquire knowledge of individual customer specifications and industry regulations regarding inspection and testing of peanuts.
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing plant to produce and test products that meet customer specifications and shipping schedules.
  • Coordinate with carriers and cold storage facilities to facilitate successful shipments.
  • Maintain complete and accurate inventory within the internal inventory system.
  • Acquire knowledge of domestic and export transportation processes, including various service providers.
  • Become proficient in standard industry documentation required for peanuts to be shipped into commercial markets.
  • Ensure all documentation is accurate for export shipments.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance for peanuts and peanut products, including USDA and FDA regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 3 or more years of business experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to read, analyze, and interpret business, technical, or government documents.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to serve as a change agent to positively influence culture and work environment.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, motivational, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient with computers and experience with Excel, Word, and Outlook or similar applications.
