About the position

The Customer Accounts Advisor at Aaron's Inc. plays a crucial role in driving customer satisfaction and payment collections. This position involves building strong relationships with customers through both phone and face-to-face interactions, ensuring they understand the benefits of their lease agreements and are motivated to renew them. The advisor serves as a coach to customers, helping them progress towards ownership while maintaining accurate account information and assisting with various operational tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Attain and maintain updated customer information in the store computer system.
  • Direct contact with customers who have not renewed their lease agreements through home visits and phone calls.
  • Sell customers on the benefits of timely lease agreement renewal payments.
  • Assist the Customer Account Manager in achieving daily, weekly, and monthly revenue and renewal goals.
  • Assist with merchandise returns and guest deliveries as directed by management.
  • Clean and certify merchandise in the Quality Assurance Center for all items personally returned.
  • Complete and maintain weekly vehicle maintenance and route sheets.
  • Load, secure, and protect products in the company vehicle.
  • Safely operate the company vehicle.
  • Assist the Sales Team as needed.
  • Perform any reasonable duties requested by management.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old in the United States with a valid state Driver's License; 18 years old in Canada.
  • Must meet DOT requirements to obtain certification in required states (United States).
  • Ability to work a schedule varying from 8 am to 9 pm.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without help and up to 300 lbs. with assistance of a dolly.
  • Two years of retail/customer service experience preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High energy with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Proper telephone etiquette.
  • Uphold the Aaron's Brand and protect company assets.
  • Maintain a professional appearance.
  • Proficient computer skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Knowledge of lease agreements and payment processes.
