The Customer Advisory Services Specialist at Owens & Minor plays a crucial role in enhancing healthcare supply chain and clinical logistics for healthcare organizations. This position focuses on delivering high-quality assessments and advisory services, driving efficiencies, and supporting strategic accounts to improve customer satisfaction and profitability. The specialist collaborates with sales teams, conducts comprehensive assessments, and implements best practices to address customer needs and challenges, ultimately guiding them through complex transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Drive efficiencies and savings for customers and Owens & Minor through effective supply chain interactions.
  • Support the commercial strategic vision for identified strategic accounts.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and process audits of hospital supply chains and clinical logistics.
  • Identify inefficiencies and recommend corrective actions and improvements.
  • Deliver tailored advisory services to enhance customer outcomes, including savings and profitability goals.
  • Collaborate with customers to implement best practices and innovative solutions.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor for customers during supply chain transformation initiatives.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to streamline processes aligned with business objectives.
  • Identify, prioritize, and coordinate projects for customer improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and implement process improvement plans, including process mapping and optimization.
  • Manage projects from start to finish, including communication and implementation efforts.
  • Track and report performance indicators to monitor engagement success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Engineering, Sciences, Continuous Improvement, Project Management, Business, etc.).
  • 5 or more years of process improvement, continuous improvement, and/or project management experience.
  • Experience in continuous improvement and/or Lean Six Sigma tools and technology.
  • Healthcare and distribution experience required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Lean certification or willingness to work towards attaining O&M's internal problem-solving certification within the first 12 months.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
