About the position

The Customer Benefit Payments Sr. Representative plays a crucial role in the Pension Risk Transfer client team at Securian Financial, focusing on delivering exceptional customer service to retirees. This position involves processing monthly payments and handling customer requests with accuracy and empathy, ensuring a high level of satisfaction among clients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Answer our toll-free line to assist customers and provide excellent customer service, exceeding client expectations.
• Update customer records per written and verbal requests, including bank changes, address changes, and tax withholding changes.
• Process form requests from clients.
• Provide empathetic customer service for family members reporting a death, capturing necessary information based on the type of contract.

Requirements

• Previous customer service experience.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and professional telephone manner.
• Strong written communication skills to document information accurately.
• Solid organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to multi-task and handle competing priorities simultaneously.
• Collaborative working style.
