About the position

As a Customer Care Agent at TEKsystems, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and technical support to clients, ensuring a positive experience while helping them navigate various products and services. This role involves handling customer inquiries through multiple communication channels, including phone, chat, and email, while meeting key performance indicators (KPIs).

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall support of products through phone, chat, and email.
  • Deliver a positive customer experience by leveraging customer service and technical expertise.
  • Handle up to three customers' chats simultaneously.
  • Take ownership of customer communications and route them appropriately.
  • Perform duties to meet KPIs and recommend responses for the knowledge database.
  • Promote teamwork and foster collaboration within the team.
  • Convey a professional and positive image internally and externally.
  • Utilize resources for quick issue resolution and troubleshoot customer inquiries.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience with Internet browsers & Microsoft Windows operating systems (preferred).
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines with minimal direction.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational/time management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with online tax software (preferred).
  • Call Center experience (preferred).
  • Knowledge and work experience with browser-based applications (a plus).
  • Typing skills - 25+ WPM (preferred).
