About the position

The part-time Customer Care Representative (CCR) at Marquette Savings Bank is responsible for performing routine customer transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, and check cashing. The role requires the application of risk-based decision-making skills to prevent fraud and ensure compliance with bank policies. The CCR will assist customers with inquiries about products and services, provide necessary forms, and maintain a high level of customer information security and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately perform routine customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, and check cashing.
  • Apply risk-based decision-making to each transaction to prevent fraud.
  • Provide customers with necessary forms to transact business at the bank.
  • Examine checks for endorsements and negotiability according to established policies.
  • Provide customers with proper receipts for payments.
  • Consult with customers on available products and services, making qualified recommendations.
  • Respond to customer requests, problems, and complaints, directing them to the appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Process services for properly identified customers, including stop payments and card requests.
  • Explain bank services and policies to customers, including account types and loan policies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior banking experience preferred but not required.
  • Broad knowledge of the bank's products and services is required.
  • General knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act/USA Patriot Act and privacy laws is necessary.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of consumer protection deposit laws and regulations.
  • Understanding of information security and the importance of safeguarding customer information.
  • Thorough knowledge of Marquette products/services and ability to apply that knowledge to solve customer problems.
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
