About the position
The Customer Care Specialist III role at BD involves providing exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, processing orders, and managing requests, particularly during off-hours. This position is crucial for maintaining high standards of professionalism and attention to detail in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Answer telephone calls from customers and dealers received through our call center system within agreed upon guidelines
- Utilize computer software applications (Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint) to prepare documents, spreadsheets and presentations
- Process customer orders within the designated time frame
- Assist with data entry into various databases throughout the day
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge
- Provide information regarding stock levels and lead times on products to both internal and external customers
- Work closely with the Order Entry department on resolving any order related issues
- Follow up on any customer complaints and coordinate return goods authorizations
- Review sales representatives' expense reports
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED required - Associate's degree preferred; bachelor's degree preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, CRM (SalesForce OR WorkDay) and SAP/JDE experience required
- 3 - 5 years of customer service experience in a call center environment preferably in the Healthcare or Medical Device industry
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and resolve routine problems
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy
- Experience working in a team environment
- Ability to multitask and prioritize optimally
- Strong organizational skills
