About the position
Carvana is seeking enthusiastic Customer Advocates to join our team as Customer Delivery Drivers. This role is pivotal in delivering happiness to our customers by providing a seamless car delivery experience. As a Customer Advocate, you will be responsible for delivering vehicles directly to customers' homes using our custom car haulers. You will not need a commercial license to operate the hauler, as we provide comprehensive training to ensure you are well-prepared for the job. This position is not just about driving; it involves engaging with customers, loading and unloading vehicles, and ensuring that all safety protocols are followed. In addition to delivering vehicles, you will also be involved in maintaining the car hauler, which includes regular inspections to ensure it is safe to drive. You will complete necessary customer paperwork and maintain thorough notes in our customer tracking system. Safety is paramount, and you will be expected to drive safely while adhering to Carvana's CMV Driver Qualification policy. The role requires physical stamina, as you will be performing tasks such as detailing vehicles and loading/unloading cars in various weather conditions. You will need to be able to sustain physical activity for extended periods, and the job may require lifting items weighing up to 50 lbs. Responsibilities
- Deliver vehicles directly to customers' homes using custom car haulers.
- Load and unload vehicles onto the hauler, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Inspect the car hauler regularly to maintain safety standards.
- Complete customer paperwork and maintain thorough notes in the customer tracking system.
- Drive safely and maintain a clean driving record in accordance with Carvana's CMV Driver Qualification policy.
- Obtain a Notary certification within the first 90 days of employment, as sponsored by Carvana.
- Satisfy state-specific requirements related to access DMV/title and registration systems.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of customer-facing experience.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Ability to walk, stand, and sustain physical activity for extended periods (8+ hours).
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Requires high and low levels of movement, including reaching, twisting, kneeling, crouching, climbing, balancing, and squatting.
- Ability to grasp, carry, lift, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity for frequent driving.
