About the position

The Customer Development Manager at Nestlé Health Science is responsible for leading and executing all sales activities for Kroger and Albertson's accounts. This role focuses on building strategic relationships, managing customer objectives, and driving brand growth through effective sales strategies. The position requires collaboration with internal teams and a deep understanding of customer needs to achieve budget and distribution goals. It is a hybrid role, with in-office work required on specific days and remote work for the remainder of the week.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic and winning relationships throughout Kroger and Albertson's, focusing on divisional wins.
  • Establish strong working relationships with internal teams including Customer Strategy, Finance, and Customer Service.
  • Deliver target budget plans and new product distribution goals.
  • Execute brand and category growth strategies that align with customer objectives.
  • Identify new opportunities for growth and develop strategic sales plans in accordance with corporate goals.
  • Maintain understanding of customer objectives and liaise with RVP to develop operational plans.
  • Manage daily business in partnership with customers, including logistics and inventory management.
  • Sell-in new products and promotions to qualified retailers, ensuring full-line distribution.
  • Work with customers to implement retail initiatives and monitor retail standards.
  • Manage ongoing contract management focusing on strategic alignment and strengthening market position.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant Sales or Customer Account experience required, with at least 2+ years managing large B2C Retail Accounts.
  • Demonstrated fluency in MS Office with advanced skills in MS Excel.
  • Sales experience in the Natural, Grocery, Drug, and/or Consumer-Packaged Goods retail channels is required.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, presentation, and stakeholder management skills are essential.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Experience with IRI, Circana, Nielsen, and Osprey using syndicated data for pricing and promotional activities.
  • Strong P&L management and financial acumen are highly required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Kroger or Albertson's systems such as Market6 and/or 84.51 is highly desired.
  • Experience in Sales within the Vitamins and/or Supplements space preferred.
