About the position

The position at U.S. Bank involves partnering with assigned Lines of Business and Risk/Compliance/Audit (RCA) professionals to create, implement, and maintain an effective risk management framework. The role includes ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, identifying risks, and serving as a liaison between the business line and the Lines of Defense.

Responsibilities

• Create, implement, and maintain an effective risk management framework.
• Participate in projects and activities ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Identify gaps in internal processes and inform solutions to minimize losses.
• Identify, respond to, and escalate risks as appropriate.
• Serve as a functional liaison between the Line of Business and the Lines of Defense.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Typically more than one year of applicable experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Basic knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and regulatory trends in financial services.
• Basic understanding of the business line's operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls.
• Basic knowledge of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies.
• Strong analytical, process facilitation, and project management skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other software packages.
