About the position

The Customer Engagement Email Marketing Manager at Guardian Life is responsible for driving customer engagement through effective email marketing strategies. This role involves collaborating with various marketing teams to create and deploy email communications aimed at clients and members, optimizing email performance, and establishing best practices for email marketing. The position requires strategic thinking, strong communication skills, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

  • Build and deploy email marketing campaigns across various audiences and products.
  • Collaborate with product, field, enrollment, and content marketing teams to optimize email content and scheduling.
  • Manage email campaigns in Pardot and Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including setup, testing, deployment, and reporting.
  • Act as an internal email consultant on email marketing best practices for stakeholders.
  • Establish email marketing best practices and develop automation strategies to improve performance.
  • Communicate marketing activities and tools to stakeholders and collect feedback.
  • Provide clear metrics on campaign results against goals and benchmarks.
  • Assess email performance and make recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of B2B/B2B2C email marketing experience
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Pardot
  • Experience managing clients in an agency or internal environment
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities under pressure
  • Critical thinking skills for data-driven optimization decisions
  • Understanding of email marketing best practices
  • Skilled in marketing testing, data analysis, and reporting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
