About the position

The Customer Engagement Manager (CEM) is responsible for managing assigned accounts within the Business Unit, focusing on educating customers about Ryder's services and expanding their engagement. This role involves maintaining regular contact with customers, developing sales strategies, and ensuring customer satisfaction while achieving sales quotas and profit targets.

Responsibilities

  • Attain or exceed assigned sales quotas and profit targets.
  • Maintain regular and consistent in-person and virtual contact with customers to meet their requirements.
  • Develop a sales penetration plan to expand Ryder's wallet share.
  • Segment account base by opportunity for growth, renewal, and potential risk of loss.
  • Present Ryder services and capabilities to customers.
  • Develop relationships with all customer buying influencers.
  • Understand customers' business, goals, and objectives.
  • Collaborate with DTS/SCS to develop upsell opportunities for Ryder services.
  • Facilitate communication between customers and Ryder departments or vendors.
  • Ensure contracted services are delivered to customers effectively.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled customer reviews and monitor VOC results by account.
  • Update CRM with relevant account-specific details and interactions.
  • Provide customers with information on new services and best practices for using leased trucks efficiently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or transportation, or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years or more experience providing service to customers.
  • 2 years or more experience selling to customers.
  • Strong sales, account management, negotiation, contractual leasing, and pricing skills.
