About the position

The Customer Engineer (Solution Architect) - Partnerships role is designed for a highly skilled and motivated individual who will provide technical expertise and support to customers and partners. The primary focus is on ensuring customer satisfaction through excellent service, troubleshooting complex issues, and implementing effective solutions. This position also involves collaborating with the sales team to drive revenue growth by engaging with prospective customers, understanding their needs, and demonstrating the value of the company's products or services.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and qualify potential partners, and actively participate in the sales process from discovery to closing deals.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and deliver compelling presentations that effectively showcase our products or services' features, benefits, and value propositions.
  • Understand customer requirements and business challenges, and develop innovative solutions tailored to their specific needs.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to customers, addressing their questions, concerns, and objections during the pre-sales phase.
  • Prepare and deliver technical proposals, solution designs, and product specifications that meet customer requirements and align with industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with the product development and engineering teams to provide feedback on product enhancements, identify opportunities for improvement, and stay updated on the latest product releases and updates.
  • Conduct proof-of-concept (POC) activities to demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of our solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction and building trust.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to effectively position our products or services against competitors.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to represent the company and actively engage with potential customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience (Network/Security/Pre Sales Engineering) - must
  • Strong technical background with proven experience as Customer Engineer or in a pre-sales / technical sales role, preferably in the information security industry.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport and establish relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and develop innovative solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites and industry events as needed.
