About the position
The Customer Experience Associate in Electronics at the Exchange is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and product knowledge to enhance the shopping experience for customers. This role involves engaging with customers, understanding their needs, and offering suitable electronic products while staying updated on the latest technology trends. The position emphasizes a friendly and informative approach to help customers navigate their electronic purchases effectively.
Responsibilities
- Greet every customer with eye contact and a smile.
- Acknowledge every waiting customer as soon as they arrive in the electronics area.
- Listen to customer needs and ask follow-up questions to offer appropriate products.
- Ensure customers have an extraordinary shopping experience.
- Complete transactions accurately and efficiently while engaging customers in conversation.
- Provide product knowledge and assist customers with price changes, special orders, and online orders.
- Promote the benefits of the Military Star credit card and other corporate programs to drive sales growth.
- Operate a cash register and handle transactions with accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and security regulations.
Requirements
- Completion of high school or equivalent.
- Retail experience with a demonstrated willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
- Strong interest in electronics products such as hand-held devices, connected technology, televisions, and video games.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
- Ability to learn and adapt to current technology needs.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
