About the position

The Customer Experience Associate in softlines is responsible for enhancing customer satisfaction through proactive engagement and tailored service. This role focuses on understanding customer needs, providing effective solutions, and fostering brand loyalty for the Exchange. The associate will work in a retail environment, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and delivering personalized shopping experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Provides high level of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
  • Greets each customer upon contact and assesses their needs, suggesting alternative options and providing resolutions.
  • Maintains a welcoming environment and builds trust relationships with customers.
  • Delivers product knowledge through superior sales skills in one or more sales areas.
  • Assists customers with price changes, special orders, online orders, and rain checks.
  • Communicates and promotes benefits of the Military Star credit card and other corporate programs to drive sales growth.
  • Operates a cash register and conducts sales, refunds, and similar transactions accurately.
  • Ensures compliance with fire, safety, sanitation, and security regulations.
  • Practices loss prevention procedures and alerts management of potential issues.

Requirements

  • Completion of high school or the equivalent.
  • Retail experience with a demonstrated willingness and potential for additional responsibility.
