About the position

The Customer Experience Associate is responsible for enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty through proactive engagement and exceptional service. This role involves assessing customer needs, providing tailored solutions, and promoting various corporate programs to drive sales growth. The associate will also maintain merchandise presentation standards and ensure compliance with safety and security regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provides high level of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
  • Greets each customer upon contact and assesses their needs.
  • Suggests alternative options and provides resolution to customer inquiries.
  • Creates a welcoming environment and builds trust with customers.
  • Delivers a personalized shopping experience by actively engaging with customers.
  • Provides product knowledge and superior sales skills in one or more sales areas.
  • Maintains merchandise presentation standards, including arranging space on the sales floor and setting up promotional fixtures.
  • Assists customers with price changes, special orders, online orders, and rain checks.
  • Promotes the benefits of the Military Star credit card and other corporate programs to drive sales growth.
  • Operates a cash register and conducts sales transactions accurately.
  • Ensures compliance with fire, safety, sanitation, and security regulations.
  • Practices loss prevention procedures and alerts management of potential issues.

Requirements

  • Completion of high school or the equivalent.
  • Retail experience with a demonstrated willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
