About the position

The Customer Experience Associate at the Express plays a vital role in assisting customers with their shopping needs, ensuring that the store is well-stocked with desired products. This position emphasizes customer service, product knowledge, and compliance with local alcohol laws, all while contributing to sales growth through effective merchandise management.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in finding products and provide helpful suggestions.
  • Ensure the store is stocked with products that meet customer needs.
  • Prioritize customer needs over tasks to enhance the shopping experience.
  • Maintain merchandise, signs, and labels on the sales floor.
  • Comply with local alcohol laws and maintain high standards of service.
  • Complete transactions accurately and efficiently while engaging customers.

Requirements

  • Completion of high school or equivalent education.
  • Retail experience and demonstrated willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to current technology needs.
  • Ability to think quickly to answer customer questions.
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds.

Nice-to-haves

  • Cash handling experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Willingness to cross-train and work in other areas of the store.
