About the position

As a Customer Experience Banker at Huntington National Bank, you will be part of a welcoming and inclusive team environment where your contributions are valued and can directly impact the financial goals of our customers. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional customer service and are eager to help clients navigate their financial journeys. You will act as a Financial Concierge for walk-in customers, focusing on building and maintaining strong relationships with both consumer and business clients. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and understand the financial needs of customers, recommending suitable banking products and services to help them achieve their goals. In this position, you will be tasked with processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring that each interaction is handled with care and professionalism. You will also play a crucial role in educating customers about the various products and services offered by the bank, including deposit accounts, loans, and technology solutions. Your ability to proactively identify opportunities for growth in customer relationships will be essential, as you will engage in a disciplined sales process, follow up with new customers, and source referrals from existing clients and partners. Adherence to operational, security, risk, and regulatory policies is paramount in this role. You will be expected to demonstrate strong skills in sales, customer service, relationship management, and communication. Your contributions will not only enhance customer satisfaction but also support the overall success of the bank and its community initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Providing excellent customer service and effectively resolving customer issues.
  • Being proficient in understanding and educating customers on consumer deposit products and consumer lending.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to grow customer relationships through a disciplined sales process, new customer follow-up program, outbound calling, and sourcing referrals from customers and partners.
  • Educating and referring customers to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships and build a strong partnership.
  • Adhering to all operational, security, risk and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrating acumen in sales, customer service, relationship management, banking, consumer lending, business banking, business lending, communication and presentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and minimum of 1 year customer service or military service in an administration, contracting, civil affairs, or similar role or a Bachelor's Degree.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1 year or more in customer service in banking, financial services or goal driven retail sales.
  • Cash handling skills.
  • Comfort with technology such as mobile services and online banking services.
