About the position

As a Customer Experience Banker at Huntington, you will be part of a welcoming and inclusive team environment where your contributions are valued and empowered. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about helping customers achieve their financial goals. You will serve as a Financial Concierge for walk-in customers, focusing on retaining and growing consumer and business customer relationships. Your primary responsibility will be to proactively identify customers' financial goals and needs, recommending appropriate banking products and services to meet those needs. You will process customer transactions accurately and efficiently while balancing daily operations and providing exemplary customer service. In this position, you will be expected to provide excellent customer service and effectively resolve any customer issues that may arise. You will need to be proficient in understanding and educating customers on various consumer deposit products. A key aspect of your role will involve proactively identifying opportunities to grow customer relationships through a disciplined sales process, which includes a new customer follow-up program, outbound calling, and sourcing referrals from customers and partners. You will also educate and refer customers to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships and build strong partnerships. Adhering to all operational, security, risk, and regulatory policies and procedures is crucial in this role. You will demonstrate acumen in sales, customer service, relationship management, banking, communication, and presentation. Other duties may be assigned as necessary to support the branch's goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Providing excellent customer service and effectively resolving customer issues.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and minimum of 1 year customer service or military service in an administration, contracting, civil affairs, or similar role or a Bachelor's Degree.
  • 1 year or more in customer service in banking, financial services or goal driven retail sales (preferred).
  • Cash handling skills (preferred).
  • Comfort with technology such as mobile services and online banking services (preferred).
