About the position

As a Customer Experience Banker at Huntington National Bank, you will be part of a welcoming and inclusive team environment where your contributions are valued and encouraged. This role empowers you to assist customers in achieving their financial goals by acting as a Financial Concierge for walk-in clients. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong consumer and business customer relationships by proactively identifying their financial needs and recommending suitable banking products and services. Your role will involve processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently while ensuring that you provide exemplary customer service at all times. In this position, you will be expected to deliver excellent customer service and effectively resolve any issues that may arise. You will need to be proficient in understanding and educating customers about various consumer deposit products. A key aspect of your role will be to proactively identify opportunities to enhance customer relationships through a disciplined sales process, which includes following up with new customers, making outbound calls, and sourcing referrals from existing customers and partners. Additionally, you will educate and refer customers to other areas of the bank to deepen their relationships and foster a strong partnership. You will also be required to adhere to all operational, security, risk, and regulatory policies and procedures. Demonstrating strong skills in sales, customer service, relationship management, banking, communication, and presentation will be essential for success in this role. Other duties may be assigned as needed, contributing to the overall success of the branch and the bank as a whole.

Responsibilities

  • Providing excellent customer service and effectively resolving customer issues.
  • Being proficient in understanding and educating customers on consumer deposit products.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to grow customer relationships through a disciplined sales process, new customer follow-up program, outbound calling, and sourcing referrals from customers and partners.
  • Educating and referring customers to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships and build a strong partnership.
  • Adhering to all operational, security, risk and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrating acumen in sales, customer service, relationship management, banking, communication and presentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and minimum of 1 year customer service or military service in an administration, contracting, civil affairs, or similar role or a Bachelor's Degree.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1 year or more in customer service in banking, financial services or goal driven retail sales.
  • Cash handling skills.
  • Comfort with technology such as mobile services and online banking services.
