About the position

As a Customer Experience Banker - Float at Huntington, you will be part of a welcoming and inclusive team environment where you are empowered every day to help our customers achieve their financial goals. This role is designed for individuals who thrive in a dynamic setting, as you will be a member of the Branch Resource Team, engaging in proactive sales and customer service activities across multiple branches. Your work location may change daily, and you must have access to reliable transportation to facilitate this mobility. In this position, you will be responsible for retaining and growing consumer and business customer relationships by proactively identifying their financial goals and needs. You will recommend appropriate deposit, loan, and other banking products and services, serving in a concierge role for walk-in customers. Your ability to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently while providing exemplary customer service is crucial. You will also be tasked with effectively resolving customer issues and educating them on how to optimize their use of bank technology, including online, mobile, and ATM banking, to enhance their banking experience. Your proficiency in consumer deposit products and consumer lending will be essential as you proactively identify opportunities to grow customer relationships through a disciplined sales process. This includes implementing a new customer follow-up program, making outbound calls, and sourcing referrals from customers and partners. You will also educate and refer customers to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships and build strong internal partnerships, all while adhering to operational, security, risk, and regulatory policies and procedures. As a member of the Branch Resource Team, you will support a defined group of branches within Huntington's Branch Network, contributing to the overall success of the bank and its customers.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in proactive sales and customer service activities, including teller transactions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and minimum of 1 year customer service or military service in an administration, contracting, civil affairs, or similar role, or a Bachelor's Degree.
  • 1 year or more in customer service in banking, financial services, or goal-driven retail sales (preferred).
  • Cash handling skills (preferred).
  • Comfort with technology such as mobile services and online banking services (preferred).
