About the position

As a Customer Experience Banker - Float at Huntington, you will be part of a welcoming and inclusive team environment where you are empowered every day to help our customers achieve their financial goals. This role is designed for individuals who thrive in a dynamic setting, as you will be a member of the Branch Resource Team, engaging in proactive sales and customer service activities across multiple branches. Your responsibilities will include handling teller transactions, processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently, and providing exemplary customer service. You will also play a crucial role in retaining and growing consumer and business customer relationships by proactively identifying their financial goals and needs, and recommending appropriate banking products and services. In this position, you will serve as a financial concierge for walk-in customers, ensuring that their banking experience is seamless and satisfactory. You will educate customers on how to optimize their use of bank technology, including online, mobile, and ATM banking, to help them manage their money more conveniently. Your proficiency in consumer deposit products and consumer lending will be essential as you identify opportunities to grow customer relationships through a disciplined sales process, new customer follow-up programs, outbound calling, and sourcing referrals from customers and partners. You will also be responsible for adhering to all operational, security, risk, and regulatory policies and procedures, demonstrating your acumen in sales, customer service, relationship management, and banking operations. This role requires reliable transportation as you will be traveling between assigned branches, and your work location may change daily. You will be part of a defined group of branches in Huntington's Branch Network, contributing to the overall success of the team and the bank's mission to serve its customers effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in proactive sales and customer service activities, including teller transactions.
  • Retain and grow consumer and business customer relationships by identifying financial goals and needs.
  • Serve in a concierge role by servicing walk-in customers.
  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, balancing daily while providing exemplary customer service.
  • Effectively resolve customer issues and educate customers on bank technology.
  • Identify opportunities to grow customer relationships through a disciplined sales process.
  • Conduct new customer follow-up programs and outbound calling.
  • Source referrals from customers and partners to deepen relationships.
  • Educate and refer customers to other areas of the bank to build strong internal partnerships.
  • Adhere to all operational, security, risk, and regulatory policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and minimum of 1 year customer service or military service in an administration, contracting, civil affairs, or similar role, or a Bachelor's Degree.
  • 1 year or more in customer service in banking, financial services, or goal-driven retail sales (preferred).
  • Cash handling skills (preferred).
  • Comfort with technology such as mobile services and online banking services (preferred).
